Simbiatu “Simbi” Abisola Abiola Ajikawo. There are so many labels or titles we could designate to the much loved Little Simz; an artist, a rapper, an actress, a model, but none of these do the person behind these names much justice when it comes to who she is and why she’s at the place she is now. As a rapper myself, I’ve taken much inspiration from Little Simz’s artistry and the distinctiveness she portrays, not only as a rapper, but as a female rapper in the industry. She’s paved a way for young black females in the UK like myself, to freely express themselves in ways that rarely get to be seen or accepted mainstream, but this isn’t all that she is. In this article, I’ll be delving deeper into who Simbi is and how she connects herself with her creativity.
